Pr. K. Joy
Pastor. K. Joy born on 25th September 1952 at Kunnathoor, Kottarakkara, Kerala.
At the age of 14 , he was baptized and separated for the Lord’s work. He came to Delhi in March 1968 at the age of fifteen. He was one of the students of Bethel Bible college Delhi, started by late Pr. K. T. Thomas. IPC Northern Region was formed in November 1969 and Pastor. K. Joy served the Lord as the PYPA President, Western District Minister, Central District Minister and Regional field coordinator in IPC NR.
On 8th October 1993, the General body of IPC Northern Region decided to divide IPC NR into various (five)regions for administrative convience. The North Central Region(NCR)was one among them. North Central Region came to existence in 1993 comprising churches in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana. Pastor. K. Joy was elected as the first President of IPC North Central Region. At the formation of the region, there were only 15 churches under NCR.
The ministry of IPC NCR was further developed under the leadership of Pastor. K. Joy. Several new mission fields and churches were planted and added across the states of Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana under IPC NCR. As per the constitutional amendment of the General Council, in 2006, IPC Delhi State was formed with Delhi and it’s satellite towns.
It is pertinent to note that Pastor. K. Joy served as the President of IPC NCR and IPC Delhi State for long 22 years since the formation of IPC NCR in 1993.
In the year 2015 he himself decided and quit from the presidential post and the General body of IPC Delhi State unanimously elected his successor Pastor. Samuel M Thomas on April 13th 2015.
